First Principles Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 2, 2026

Your plans stay local

The current app uses a local SwiftData store shared with its widget, with CloudKit disabled. Saved plans, original words, goals, milestones, drafts, completion history, and preferences are stored on your device. There is no account or app-managed cloud synchronization. AI generates suggestions locally; you review them before saving a commitment.

Voice and intelligence

Microphone access is used for speech you explicitly capture. Speech and downloaded model processing run locally. Optional model and voice files are requested from Hugging Face; these downloads do not include your plans or recordings. Apple may download system intelligence, speech, or voice assets. Availability varies by device and language. The researched Apple Private Cloud Compute integration remains disabled in the reviewed build.

Reminders and movement

Notifications require your permission. Optional movement check-ins separately use significant-location changes and Always location permission. Raw coordinates are not persisted by the movement feature. You can disable these check-ins and revoke location or notification permissions in iOS Settings.

Sharing and backups

Weekly recap cards contain aggregate consistency totals. You choose whether and where to share them using iOS. The recipient or service then controls that shared copy. Device backups may include saved app data, depending on your settings; downloaded model weights are excluded. There is no app-managed cloud sync.

Deletion and control

You choose which suggested plans to save, edit, complete, or defer. Removing the app removes its local data, subject to device backups. Manage retained backups separately in your device or computer settings. Review the in-app Privacy screen for the features in your installed version.

Third-party services

Third-party downloads, websites, and Apple platform services have their own privacy practices. Their requests may include ordinary network information such as your IP address and the requested resource. See Apple's explanation of device backups.

Changes to this policy

Features and platform availability can change between releases. The current version of this policy is published on this page.
